A Dark Shock

Hey ho my amigos.
I wrote a short story. It's worth 6.25 pages.
I hope you could take the time to read it, because I spent majority of today writing it.

Please note a few things:

  • This is a Fantasy story.
  • This was just finished an hour ago.
  • This hasn't gone through much editing.
  • The story's plot points might still be hazy.
  • There's a possibility you'll find this anti-climactic.
Alrighty, here goes nothin'!

Apologies!

Yeah, I know... it's been a while.
But recently I've been delving into the world of Japan.

So I'm on Culture Japan (make me your comrade if you wish, just leave your username below), I have a new favorite manga (Alice is my favorite character), I acquired 30+ songs on my playlist (I'll post about it soon [all Japanese]), and lastly I am making a manga just for fun. (I'll post about it soon, too.)

I also have a field trip for school this tomorrow, and I have to go to this place called Enchanted Farm. It's in Bulacan. I have to read a storybook with a partner to a group of about 70+ schoolchildren. Hmm, hmm...

School and other things have been occupying my free time.
I need to catch up on my
DRAWINGS
My deviantart hasn't been touched for a while. Had to do something, right?
Also the aforementioned manga above.
WEBCOMICS
I have to catch up on jefbot, RA, Jack Cannon, twogag and Stupid Fox.
DANCING
I haven't done it in a while either!
neh.
nemenemeh.
blech.
SPORTS
Because I don't have one.
How sad.
THIS BLOG
I'm doing it now aren't I?

Here are things I have accomplished while I was gone that doesn't exactly accelerate my life's successfulness.

  • Finished Black Rock Shooter OVA and Anime.
  • Read Pandora Hearts volumes 1,2,3, and 7.
  • My iPod Nano broke. (The accursed lock button!) SOMETHING LIKE THIS
  • I found my iPod Shuffle.
  • I finished The Hobbit. (Amazing book, a must-read.)
  • A new pair of shoes from Indonesia! (My dad just came from there to test a new car.)
Anyways, it's nice to be back and all, but I have to be in school by 6am!!!
(Will write about that soon enough...)

For the Orphanage_Pics

For the Orphanage

This has been written during the entire day (yesterday), not just in one time period.

Hey All! I'm posting this from a private bus, on my way to Zambales. But what am I going to do there you may ask? So far from Metro Manila! Well friends, there be a wee orphanage down there, that's in a need of painting. So, most of the prayer group I'm in volunteered to go. We're even donating some clothes. I myself just donating four shirts, and four pairs of shoes. Pictures later! I'm on a freaking bus!

So, this morning I woke up at around 4am. A bit early, but my dad was awake anyway. The tv was on some movie channel, playing The Adventures of Baron... Something. An old movie for sure. I was sent back to sleep, got back up at 5:30am, took a shower, got dressed, had breakfast which was Pork Tocino with white rice. This is rare in my house, because a healthier lifestyle than the most average of the average type person. Heehee.

So now it's 8:50am, still in the bus, using one of my friend's iPad typing this in, while watching Kung Fu Hustle.
Isn't Stephen Chow the best?

Written in the evening
So I arrived around lunch time, just finished The Expendables. So we walked around to a small outdoor area, sat down on some chairs and talked. Nothing exactly important, with some banana cues and kamote chips for some snacks. Then we ate lunch, Adobo, Pusit, Pinakbet. Once everyone was done, we brought the paint over to the shed, and started painting soon after. The teenagers over there (only the guys) helped out in painting. The fence was painted Sky Blue, and the walls RedFoo. Naw, it's beige... I did the fence, on a corner where not much people were in, because most people were painting the inside. I suck at painting walls! So badly! And to think its easier than painting metal racks. So I made a bunch of friends, some of them named Jan, Bernard, Ax, and Ex. What strange names. So we hung out, it was kind of awkward since I don't speak Tagalog well. Good thing my dad was there, or those boys would laughing their heads off at my accent. (it's not bad, everybody just says it's cute.) Then had a merienda, then after a quick bathroom stop, we left.

Now it's 7:30pm, relatively near Manila now, I'm in the bus again, and I just finished writing that last paragraph labeled Written in the evening. I'm tired! So I got tired, right? Well, when I got down to eat dinner at Marquee Mall at Max's Restaurant, I felt nauseous during my meal. Good thing though is that I had tapsilog! Yay! I threw up in the bathroom.

Marquee Mall is the best! It has everything I love, on just one floor! Imagine me exploring the whole mall, I would never want to leave. Comic Alley, model toys, Toys R Us, Converse, heck, even though gas station separate from the mall has Nike, Adidas, DC, more Converse... Cheap! The province is awesome. If only it weren't so far...

Now it's 10:35pm and I'm still in this bus! Well, everyone's calling it the Coaster, so... I'm stuck in this Coaster! At least I'm in EDSA. Stay tuned for updates!
Photos and possibly a video!

PAINT IT BLACK!

The completed rack with primer.

After painting most of it, I gave up. The fumes made me soooo dizzy.

Today's progress...

So I painted the underside of the rack today. Here it is:

After

And here's a previous finished work of mine:
With my wacky father as the presenter. xD

Ever Hated Lacquer Thinner

So I finally got to painting that rack I mentioned before... It went well enough for the first half, I'll paint the second half tomorrow. Anyways, this lacquer thinner seemed convincing enough to be harmless, like normal pain thinner. BUT IT BURNED. As if my hands were dust from burning flames of hell. Verge of shedding some tears then. Oh well...
Blood

More blood

Blood in a can

Some frog guts

Even more blood
If your brain knows what paint is, then it's obvious that the red splatters on my hands is lacquer primer. Not blood. ~da-duy~
It could have worked out as a shallow troll attempt, but that just isn't me.

The paint was in a minimal amount on my hands at first, but when I used the lacquer thinner, it spread more on my hands from cleaning the brushes. So then comes the point that my hand looks like photo 2. So what did I do? I poured some thinner on my hands. It was surprisingly cold. Then after a minute or so, it started burning! Well it didn't catch fire or I'd be all like this:
So I just had to bear with it and just pour some more on it. I also scrubbed with soap, which got my mind off the pain. It went away after 5 minutes.
Just the pain. The paint? Still slightly here.

De-Rustin' Man

What I did here...
...is only worth 1%
So today I was de-rusting some shelves for my Mom to use for putting her plants on. My steel brushes and sandpaper barely scratching at the layers... 4 years of rust!
I've been working for around 2 hours today, and the only thing that satisfied me was  this little part (left) that was stripped of rust. That is the bare metal right there. But, that looks like nearly nothing compared to what I have to face with tomorrow. (bottom) Now to think 2 hours just gave me that while working on everything. Seriously... WHY? WHY?!?!

I just had a conversation with my dad on the net. And in the middle of it, he went whack.

Dad: My ass, on fire it is.
-AAAARRRGH Hust it does!!!
-Hurt it does!
Me: WHAT
Dad: Hahaha
-naah just imagining Yoda sitting on lighter fluid with a sparking robe
-BAMF.
-Nyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Me: ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Dad: The force is strong on THAT one
-Nothing, it must ne the dinner I had- making me hallucinate
-:D
-See, I also have a lot of typos
Me: What the heck dad!
Dad: Exactly.
